Terms of Service
Effective July 9, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Strata for using the service. They're written to be read: short sections, plain language, nothing buried.
1. Who we are, and your acceptance
Strata ("we", "us") — operated by the owner of stratafight.com — provides a martial arts gym discovery and community platform at stratafight.com and through our mobile apps (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Who can use Strata
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 17, a parent or legal guardian must review these terms with you and consent to your use of the Service; by using it, you represent that they have.
3. Your account
Keep your account information accurate and your credentials to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account. If you believe someone else has accessed it, change your password and contact us at support@stratafight.com.
4. Your content
You own what you post. By posting, you grant Strata a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for technical purposes such as resizing images and transcoding video), display, and distribute your content within the Service, consistent with the audience settings you choose. This license exists so the Service can work — showing your post to the audience you picked is "distribution" in legal terms, nothing more.
You're responsible for having the rights to what you upload. If you delete your account, your identity is removed from your content, but the content itself (for example, reviews and posts) may remain in anonymized form, as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
Use Strata like a decent training partner. You may not:
- harass, threaten, or abuse other people;
- impersonate any person, gym, or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with one;
- post content that is illegal or that infringes someone else's rights;
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-collect data from the Service, or access it by automated means (other than ordinary search-engine indexing of public pages);
- probe, breach, or circumvent security measures or audience/visibility controls;
- upload malware or interfere with the operation of the Service;
- use the Service to send spam or unsolicited promotion.
6. Reviews integrity
Reviews must reflect your genuine, first-hand experience. Don't post fake reviews, don't trade reviews for compensation, and don't review a gym you own, manage, or work for — gym owners and staff may not review their own gyms. We may remove reviews that violate this section and restrict accounts that post them.
7. Gym listings, claims, and accuracy
Gym listings may originate from public sources (such as Google Places) before an owner joins Strata. Owners can claim their listing, and we verify ownership before granting control of it. Even so, Strata does not guarantee the accuracy of any listing — schedules, pricing, and offerings change, and belt ranks and reviews are user-submitted. Confirm the details that matter with the gym directly.
8. Trial bookings
Trial-class booking is a facilitated introduction between you and a gym. The gym — not Strata — provides the class, sets its schedule and capacity, and decides whether to confirm, decline, or cancel your request. Strata is not a party to the training relationship between you and any gym.
9. Paid promotions
Gyms may purchase promotion campaigns that give their listing sponsored placement. Sponsored placements are labeled "Sponsored". Payments are processed by Stripe. Fees are non-refundable once a campaign is live, except where a refund is required by law.
10. Termination
You can stop using Strata at any time and delete your account from settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create risk for other users, or expose us to legal liability — where practical, we'll tell you why. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Your content, Disclaimers, and Limitation of liability) survive.
11. Disclaimers
Strata is a discovery and community platform. We are not a gym, we don't employ instructors, and we don't supervise training. Martial arts carry an inherent risk of injury; decisions about whether, where, and how to train are between you and the gym. Strata is not responsible for injuries, disputes, or losses arising from your visits to or training at any gym, including trial classes booked through the Service.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Strata and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. To the same extent, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of USD 100 and the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain of these limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Copyright and IP complaints
We respond to copyright and intellectual-property complaints: we remove or disable access to infringing content on valid notice, and we may terminate repeat infringers.
To file a notice, email support@stratafight.com and include:
- identification of the work you believe is infringed;
- the URL or in-app location of the allegedly infringing material;
- your name and contact information;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the rights holder;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top; for significant changes, we'll take reasonable steps to point them out — for example, a notice in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
15. Severability
If any provision of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the rest of the terms remain in full effect. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Strata about the Service.
